Minimize effort, maximize output

About Us

The inception of Lonestar Fire Specialties began with a series of discussions with fire departments across the country about the need for mobile pump testing services. What began as a conversation became a mission. Across the country, fire departments shared a common challenge—the need for faster, more reliable mobile pump testing. Listening to those voices, an idea took shape.

Years of experience—thousands of pump tests—revealed a clear path forward: a system built on speed, precision, simplicity, and resilience.

In 2012, that vision became reality with the creation of the Ultimate Draft System—an innovation designed to redefine the standard. What followed was years of refinement and determination, culminating in an Intellectual Patent being awarded for our system in 2017.

Now, the wait is over.

The future of pump testing has arrived—and it’s time for you to join our family of Ultimate Draft owners.

The original system—still in active service today—has successfully tested more than 5,000 pumps and processed over 350 million gallons of water, demonstrating its durability and proven performance in the field. Our system offers several key advantages over traditional methods and competing systems:

  • Our patented technology has the ability to generate unlimited intake workload, accurately replicating the conditions of below-ground pit testing and ensuring consistent, repeatable tests year after year
  • A streamlined, single-operator setup enabled by an integrated hydraulic jack support system and pre-connected hoses to reduce labor requirements
  • Seamless progression through the 100/70/50 % flow stages with the touch of a button via a wireless tablet interface
  • A substantial reduction in total testing time from start to finish, improving overall efficiency and productivity
  • Automated reporting that is fully graphed, time-stamped, and date-stamped for accuracy, traceability, and compliance

What Makes Us Different

The primary advantages that we have over our competitors include: reducing pump test time to 80 minutes/truck detecting issues with exceptional accuracy providing a computer generated report immediately testing that requires only one operator the ability to create an infinite amount of workload on the pump thus replicating old-school testing from a below ground pit and creating the same pump test conditions year after year
